Based in the United States for the past six years, he served as Space Counselor to the French Embassy in Washington D.C. and as CNES representative in the U.S., building strategic bridges between American and European space ecosystems. With dual cultural fluency and deep market expertise, Nicolas offers privileged access to key stakeholders and a sharp understanding of export dynamics for French, European, and U.S. space companies.

Michael J. Lyon brings over 35 years of legal and business expertise, with a deep focus on advising space sector firms worldwide. A pioneer in space tourism, he played a key role at Space Adventures in organizing the first private flights to the International Space Station. He serves as a Mentor and Advisor in the Creative Destruction Lab’s Space and Ocean accelerators, supporting early-stage ventures. Michael’s career spans senior U.S. government service during the Savings and Loan Crisis, and global experience across more than 100 countries. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a B.A. in History from Brandeis University, and studied at the London School of Economics.
Corine Kaplan
Corinne Kaplan is a leading expert in U.S. trade compliance for space and defense applications, with over three decades of experience spanning both sides of the Atlantic. As founder of CK Trade Compliance Consulting, she advises clients on ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations, drawing on a career that includes senior roles at Airbus Space & Defense, EADS North America, and Astrium. Her leadership has shaped major defense and space programs, from satellite equipment delivery to DOD contract execution. Corinne also contributes to U.S. export policy as a member of the Department of Commerce’s TRANSTAC Advisory Committee, where she chairs the Space Working Group.
